It is high time that Evangelicals determine their view of evangelism from the
evangelistic practices of Jesus and His apostles. For too long we have followed the
evangelistic methods of mass evangelists and we`ve used gospel tracts that are
derived from the straw dust trail. Good intentions are not enough. We need to
make it clear precisely what one must believe to have eternal life. Otherwise, we
may well load people up with lots of information, but never share with them the
saving proposition. If we do that, we leave people wondering if they have done
enough to meet God`s demands.
Jesus guarantees eternal life to all who simply believe in Him. Let`s
proclaim that proposition clearly. Then as time permits, and as people ask
questions, we can explain why this is so.
